How does the Bible introduce God? "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth". Genesis 1:1 How long has God been in existence? "Before the mountains were brought forth, or ever thou hadst formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God". Psalm 90:2 Where is God's dwelling place? "And hearken thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they shall pray toward this place: and hear thou in heaven thy dwelling place: and when thou hearest, forgive". 1.Kings 8:30 What evidence of God's existence are we able to see or perceive? "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork". Psalm 19:1 "I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well". Psalm 139:14 "But ask now the beasts, and they shall teach thee; and the fowls of the air, and they shall tell thee: Or speak to the earth, and it shall teach thee: and the fishes of the sea shall declare unto thee. Who knoweth not in all these that the hand of the Lord hath wrought this?" Job 12:7-9
How does the true God of heaven differ from the other gods man has worshiped? "Remember the former things of old: for I am God, and there is none else; I am God, and there is none like me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure". Isaiah 46:9,10 "For all the gods of the nations are idols: but the Lord made the heavens". Psalm 96:5 "For thus saith the Lord that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the Lord; and there is none else". Isaiah 45:18 Scripture declarations about God: "Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honor and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were". Revelation 4:11 "Great is our God above all gods". 2.Chronicles 2:5 "With God all things are possible". Mark 10:27 "He healeth the broken in heart... His under standing is Infinite". Psalm 147:3-5 "I am the Lord, I change not". Malachi 3:6 "He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love". 1.John 4:8 What description did God give of Himself to Moses? "And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth, keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children's children, unto the third and to the fourth generation". Exodus 34:6,7 What is the relationship that God wants to have with all of us? "Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God". 1.John 3:1 "The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works". Psalm 145:9 "That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust". Matthew 5:45
